Walk for Autism
Uvalde’s Walk for Autism Committee invites you to join us and the
numerous families and individuals who will participate in the 2nd
Annual Uvalde Walk for Autism by becoming a sponsor for the
Saturday, September 26, 2009 Walk at Southwest Texas Junior
College’s Uvalde Campus.
We are hosting this fund-raising event in an effort to donate all proceeds to a non-profit organization dedicated to providing funding for autism research and search for causes and cures for autism. Autism is a complex neurobiological disorder affecting 1 in 150 children nationwide.
Uvalde’s Walk for Autism includes a 5K (3.1 mile) run, kid’s dash, a walk, and an autism community resource fair heightening public awareness and raising money to fund autism research. The fair will also include child friendly activities and musical entertainment.
The options to choose from to become a sponsor for this event fall
under three categories.
The first is the Gold Sponsorship which is a donation of $500, the
second is the Silver Sponsorship, a donation of
$300, and the third is the Bronze Sponsorship, a donation of
$150.If unable to
donate at any of the above amounts, a monetary or product donation
would be appreciated. Monetary donations will go towards the cost of hosting this event. Donations given in the form of products from the place of
business will be given as door or team prizes.
