Uvalde Walk for Autism

This is your opportunity to show support for families, friends, and individuals affected by autism and HAVE FUN DOING IT! Round up a TEAM and join the exciting run/walk at the Uvalde Walk for Autism at Southwest Texas Junior College Uvalde’s Walk for Autism includes a 5K (3.1 mile) run, a kid’s dash, or a 1 mile walk. Also, there will be an autism community resource fair heightening public awareness and raising money to fund autism research. The fair will include child friendly activities and musical entertainment. Proceeds from this 3nd annual event will be donated to a non-profit organization dedicated to providing funding for autism research and search for causes and cures for autism.
Show your team spirit! Round up your colleagues and form a corporate team OR ask your family and friends, form a group team, and participate in what will be a great event. To register, follow these 4 simple steps:
1) Become a team captain and form a team. It takes a minimum of 4 people to make a team, but don’t stop there. The more people, the better.
2) All team members must complete and sign a registration form. NOTE: Parents must provide signature on registration form for children under 18.
3) The team captain must complete the Official Team Entry Form. You may copy these “official” forms but please do not attempt to re-create the forms.
4) Lastly, encourage your team members to participate in fundraisers up until the event. Team captains need to bring proceeds raised to the registration area the day of the event, Saturday, September 26, between 8:00-8:45 AM. Team captains will check-in for their teams and each individual will be responsible for obtaining his/her race number between 8:00-8:45 AM.
